2024 Summer Training Program

Welcome to the DB Hockey Summer training. This year we will be doing small groups training session for specific age groups or teams. All sessions will be at Rocket Ice Arena in Bolingbrook. Each session will run 1 hour on ice and 1 hour off ice with JD Strength Training (on site or across street at hill). Groups will consist of 10-13 kids per session.

This is a full Summer training program for our players development. Teaching proper habits with a lot of reps for our players development. Each day will focus on different skill development. Game specific drills will be incorporated through the summer with small area games.

  • PowerSkating: agility, edges, quick turns, stops and starts, transitions
  • Stickhandling: proper hand placement, creativity, quick hands, expanding reach, deception
  • Shooting: puck placement, quick release, deception, shot options


All skills will challenge our players out of their comfort zone to become comfortable with their skills. JD Strength Performance is extremely excited to be joining the DB Hockey Summer Training program.This year we will be providing age specific, small group off-ice training sessions run by our highly experienced staff from JD Strength Performance.

This is a full summer training program designed to help each player’s overall development. Teaching proper habits for long term success and instilling a foundation for a healthy lifestyle. Each day will focus on a specific skill (speed/agility, functional strength training, recovery/mobility/injury prevention).

  • Speed/Agility: over speed training, resistance sprints, plyometrics, quick turns, stops and starts
  • Functional Strength Training: proper form and technique, body weight training, muscular endurance, rotational power
  • Recovery/Mobility: stretching, muscular release, full range of motion, injury prevention


Please have your player bring an “off-ice training bag” which should include a good pair of running shoes (no sandals, slides or slip-ons), shorts, t-shirt, water bottle, jump rope, 18” foam roller, and a 12” softball or lacrosse ball. All training sessions will challenge our players out of their comfort zone to become comfortable with their new abilities and realize what they’re truly capable of achieving.

Group 1 & 2 (20 sessions)

Player: $800

Goalie: $325

Group 1 & 2: Monday and Wednesday, June 5 - August 9 (No session on July 4)

  • Group 1 - on ice 9:20am, 10:40am off ice
  • Group 2 - on ice 10:30am, 9:20am off ice


Group 3 & 4 (19 sessions)

Player: $760

Goalie: $310

Group 3 & 4: Tuesday and Thursday, June 6 - August 10 (No session on July 4)

  • Group 3- 9:20am on ice, 10:40am off ice
  • Group 4- 10:30am on ice, 9:20am off ice


*Do to camps and rink schedule some times may change (schedule will all times will be sent out with our curriculum as we get closer to the start of the program).
